About Réguiny
Réguiny is a commune of around two thousand people in central Morbihan, between Pontivy, Rohan and Locminé. It is a working village with shops, a school and a lake on its edge, in the open bocage country that fills the middle of Brittany.
The Nantes–Brest canal is a few minutes away at Rohan, and it is the reason a lot of people end up settling in this part of the department. The towpath gives you flat, traffic-free walking and cycling for as far as you want to go, threading through locks, woods and water meadows, and you can hire a boat for a week without a licence and take it towards Redon or up towards Loudéac.
Pontivy is twenty minutes north-west, which covers the hospital, the big supermarkets, the lycées and the Monday market. Locminé is fifteen minutes south, Josselin twenty-five east.
The N24 and the Pontivy–Vannes road both run nearby, which is what makes the rest of Brittany reachable: Vannes and the Gulf in about fifty minutes, Lorient and the south coast an hour, Rennes an hour and a quarter. The two airports at Rennes and Nantes are within an hour and a half.
