About Priziac
Priziac is a village in the north-west of the Morbihan, in the Pays du Roi Morvan, and it has something most inland Breton communes do not: a proper lake.
The Lac du Bel Air sits just outside the village — a large stretch of water with a beach, a water-sports centre offering sailing, canoeing and paddleboarding in season, a campsite, walking paths around the shore and some well-regarded fishing. In July and August it gives the village a holiday feel; the rest of the year it is somewhere to walk a dog and watch herons. For a house at this price, having that five minutes down the road is a genuine piece of luck.
The village itself keeps its everyday services, and Le Faouët, ten minutes away, is the market town — shops, chemist, doctors, and that remarkable sixteenth-century covered market hall, with the chapels of Sainte-Barbe and Saint-Fiacre on its outskirts.
Further afield, Quimperlé is around half an hour with its station on the Quimper–Lorient–Nantes line; Lorient and its airport about forty-five minutes; and the beaches from Guidel round to Le Pouldu are within the hour. Pontivy is roughly forty minutes east.
