About Tréméreuc

Tréméreuc is a small commune in the Côtes-d'Armor on the western side of the Rance, in the country between Dinard and Dinan. It is quiet, green and very well placed.

The golf is the local landmark — the Saint-Cast and Tréméreuc courses lie in this corner, in rolling wooded country above the river, and for anyone who plays, living within a few minutes of a course changes what a week looks like.

The other asset is the greenway. The old Dinard–Dinan railway has been converted into a voie verte running right through this country: traffic-free walking, cycling and riding for miles, from the coast up the Rance valley to the ramparts of Dinan. It passes close to the village.

The Rance itself is minutes east, with the wooded banks, the moorings, the tide mills and the towpath, and the barrage at the mouth with its tidal power station.

Dinard is fifteen minutes with the beaches, the belle-époque front, the shops and the airport with UK flights. Dinan is fifteen the other way — ramparts, medieval streets, a port on the river. Saint-Malo is around twenty-five minutes, with the hospital, the walled city, the ferry port and a TGV to Paris in under three hours.
