Two thousand seven hundred and forty-five square metres, incorporating its own woodland, in a quiet green setting near the Parc de la Briantais and the sea — inside the commune of Saint-Malo. This is the largest plot on our site by a wide margin, and it is in one of the most sought-after parts of one of the most sought-after towns in Brittany.

The house is our 150 m² design of four to five bedrooms, with two bathrooms and a garage. On a plot of this scale, a larger house is equally possible, and there is room for a pool, a pool house, mature planting and the woodland left as it is.

Two things stated openly before anything else happens: the buildable portion of the plot and the servicing both need confirming. About La Briantais

La Briantais is the green shoulder of Saint-Malo where the town meets the Rance, and it is defined by its park. The Parc de la Briantais runs down to the estuary around a nineteenth-century château, with lawns, specimen trees, terraces and a view across the water to Dinard that is among the best in the region. It belongs to the town and is open every day.

This is the quiet, wooded, residential side of Saint-Malo — the malouinières country, where the shipowners who grew rich on the corsair trade built their country houses out of the same granite as the walls. The Rance below is sheltered water, with the GR34 along the bank, the old tide mills, and the barrage and its tidal power station a little upstream.

The centre of Saint-Malo and the walled city are ten minutes north; Dinard is ten minutes across the barrage, with its airport; Dinan is half an hour up the river. The ferry port and the TGV station are both in the town: Portsmouth, Poole via Guernsey, Jersey, and Paris in under three hours.
