A full thousand square metres, serviced, at Saint-Brice-de-Landelles — with a brand new two-bedroom bungalow on it for €176,800 all in. A quarter of an acre of Normandy and a finished home for well under two hundred thousand euros.
The house is our two-bedroom bungalow: 75 m², everything on one level. A bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opens onto the terrace and garden, with two bedrooms, a modern bathroom, a separate WC and a utility room. The layout can be adapted to your wishes and a garage can be added as an option. On a plot of this size there is room for a pool, an orchard or a workshop, with plenty of lawn left over.
This is a separate parcel from the other Saint-Brice plot and is advertised as serviced, which is what makes the difference in price and in the time it takes to get started.
About Saint-Brice-de-Landelles
Saint-Brice-de-Landelles sits in the far south of the Manche, in the deep bocage where Normandy meets Brittany — small fields behind thick hedges, orchards, sunken lanes and grey stone farms. It is quiet, green and genuinely rural, and it is still only a short drive from a proper town.
Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët, with around 5,800 residents, supermarkets, schools, doctors, restaurants and a weekly market, is minutes away. Louvigné-du-Désert is just over the Breton border to the south.
The Sélune runs through this corner of the department, and the recent removal of its two old hydroelectric dams has created one of the largest river restoration schemes in Europe: the salmon are coming back and a long new valley walk has opened along with them. Old railway lines have been converted into traffic-free greenways that run for miles through the bocage.
Mont-Saint-Michel is around thirty-five minutes away. Fougères and its enormous medieval castle are twenty-five minutes south, Avranches about half an hour, Rennes with its international airport and its TGV to Paris roughly an hour, and Saint-Malo and its ferries an hour and ten minutes.
