Seven hundred and ninety-two square metres of garden, a brand new two-bedroom bungalow on it, and a total of €177,400. That is a complete, finished, guaranteed home in southern Normandy for less than the price of a one-bedroom flat in most English towns.
The house is our two-bedroom bungalow: 75 m², everything on one level. A bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opens onto the terrace and garden, with two bedrooms, a modern bathroom, a separate WC and a utility room. The layout can be adapted to your wishes and a garage can be added as an option. On a plot this size there is room for a large terrace, a vegetable garden and still a lawn.
The plot is advertised through the notary and the servicing is not specified, so the connections to water, electricity, telecoms and drainage are surveyed and quoted as part of the works. We handle that.
About Saint-Martin-de-Landelles
Saint-Martin-de-Landelles sits in the far south of the Manche, in the deep green bocage where Normandy, Brittany and the old Pays de la Loire meet. This is the Normandy that British buyers have loved for generations: small fields behind thick hedgerows, orchards, sunken lanes, cider farms and hamlets of grey stone.
The village has the essentials and a genuine community. Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët, a proper market town of around 5,800 people with supermarkets, schools, doctors, restaurants and a weekly market, is a few minutes up the road — near enough that everyday life works without a long drive.
What makes this corner remarkable is what lies within half an hour. Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay are around thirty minutes away. Avranches, with its hospital and its famous manuscripts from the Mont, is a similar distance. Fougères, with one of the largest medieval castles in Europe, is twenty-five minutes south in Brittany, and the forest around it is superb walking.
For getting home, Saint-Malo and its ferries to Portsmouth and the Channel Islands are about an hour and ten minutes. Rennes, with its international airport and TGV service reaching Paris in an hour and a half, is around an hour. Caen and Cherbourg ferry ports are both comfortably drivable.
