Nearly a third of an acre. At La Poulinière, just outside Moulines, this is a 1,460 m² plot in a quiet setting — the largest garden in our Normandy selection and, at €182,500 for the land and a brand new two-bedroom bungalow, one of the best-value pieces of ground on the whole site.
The house is our two-bedroom bungalow: 75 m², everything on one level. A bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opens onto the terrace and garden, with two bedrooms, a modern bathroom, a separate WC and a utility room. The layout can be adapted to your wishes and a garage can be added as an option. On a plot of this size there is room for a pool, an orchard, a workshop, or simply a lot of lawn and a long view.
The plot is advertised as unserviced with free choice of builder, so the connections are surveyed and quoted as part of the works.
About Moulines
Moulines is a small rural commune in the south of the Manche, in the bocage country where the department runs down to meet the Mayenne and the Ille-et-Vilaine. It is quiet, green and unhurried — small fields, thick hedges, narrow lanes and a scatter of stone farms, with the sort of silence that people move to France for.
That quietness is the point, but it is not isolation. Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët, with supermarkets, schools, doctors and a weekly market, is a short drive, and Louvigné-du-Désert and Fougères lie just over the Breton border to the south.
The countryside around is some of the best walking and cycling in western France, with the voies vertes — disused railway lines turned into traffic-free greenways — running for miles through the bocage. The rivers here are good trout and salmon water, and the local cider and calvados farms still press their own.
Mont-Saint-Michel is around thirty-five minutes away, and the beaches of the bay a little beyond that. Fougères, with its enormous medieval castle, is twenty-five minutes; Avranches about half an hour. Rennes, with its airport and its TGV to Paris in an hour and a half, is roughly an hour, and Saint-Malo and its ferries about an hour and a quarter.
