The drive into the city is ten minutes. The village has its own station on the Rennes–Saint-Malo line. For most families, that trade is the whole reason they end up here rather than looking at old houses they cannot afford to heat.

What you get for it is a real village: bakery, shops, school, church, and neighbours who are here all year. The Château de Bonaban, an eighteenth-century house in its park, stands at the edge of the commune.
