Six hundred square metres near the shops and the school at La Caillère-Saint-Hilaire, with a brand new three-bedroom bungalow and integrated garage on it. €197,000 all in.
For a family, a plot within walking distance of the school changes the shape of the day. For a retirement or a holiday home, it means the bakery and the grocer are a stroll rather than a drive.
The house is our three-bedroom bungalow with integrated garage: 85 m², everything on one level. A bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opens onto the terrace and garden, with three bedrooms, a modern bathroom, a separate WC, a utility room and the garage built in. The layout can be adapted to your wishes and a second bathroom is possible.

About La Caillère-Saint-Hilaire
La Caillère-Saint-Hilaire is a welcoming rural commune in the Pays de Chantonnay, formed by the joining of two neighbouring villages — La Caillère, long known for its fruit trade in pears and cherries, and Saint-Hilaire-du-Bois, set on a wooded hillside above a wide farming plain.
Together they make a working village with a school, shops, a bakery and a community that is there in February as well as August. The orchards that gave La Caillère its trade are still part of the landscape, along with the hedgerows, small fields and quiet lanes of the southern Vendée bocage.
The lakes of the Chantonnay area — Rochereau, l'Angle-Guignard, Moulin-Papon — are within a short drive for fishing, walking and watersports, and the valley of the Petit Lay runs close by.
Chantonnay and Sainte-Hermine are each around ten to fifteen minutes for supermarkets, doctors and markets. Fontenay-le-Comte, the Renaissance town once capital of the Bas-Poitou, is around twenty-five minutes, and La Roche-sur-Yon thirty-five.
Puy du Fou is around forty minutes north-east, the Marais Poitevin forty minutes south, and the Atlantic beaches at Les Sables-d'Olonne roughly an hour.
