Six hundred square metres inside the urban zone at Saint-Pierre-du-Chemin, close to the village amenities, with the networks nearby. With a brand new two-bedroom bungalow on it, the total is €175,000.
Being in the urban zone matters: it is the part of the commune where building is provided for in the local plan, which makes the permit a great deal more straightforward than a plot out in open country.
The house is our two-bedroom bungalow: 75 m², everything on one level. A bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opens onto the terrace and garden, with two bedrooms, a modern bathroom, a separate WC and a utility room. The layout can be adapted to your wishes and a garage can be added as an option. Six hundred square metres gives a generous garden that is still manageable.
The plot is advertised as unserviced with the networks nearby, so the connections are surveyed and quoted as part of the works.
About Saint-Pierre-du-Chemin
Saint-Pierre-du-Chemin lies in the Haut-Bocage of the eastern Vendée, on the old road between Parthenay and the coast that gives the village its name, where the department meets the Deux-Sèvres.
This is the high, hedged, hilly Vendée — the Collines Vendéennes running across the north of the department — and the country around is small fields, oak woods, streams and sunken lanes, with long views from the ridges. The Mère rises near here and runs south-west towards Vouvant and the Mervent forest.
The village has a bakery, shops, a school and a real community, and the amenities are close enough to the plot to walk to.
La Châtaigneraie, the market town for this corner, is around ten minutes — supermarkets, schools, doctors, a pharmacy, restaurants and a weekly market. Pouzauges and its medieval hilltop are twenty minutes north, and the lake and forest at Mervent-Vouvant around twenty-five minutes south-west.
Puy du Fou is around half an hour, Parthenay and its medieval quarter twenty-five minutes east, Fontenay-le-Comte half an hour, Niort and its TGV to Paris around fifty minutes, La Roche-sur-Yon an hour, and the Atlantic beaches about an hour and a half.
